Teen Kidnapped/Sexually Assaulted
14-Year-Old Conroe High Student Forced Into Truck

HOUSTON -- A 14-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted Wednesday afternoon after she got off a school bus, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.




The Conroe High School student told investigators she had gotten off the bus and was walking home on Amar Road near FM 1484 when she was forced into a silver four-door truck, taken to a remote dirt road and assaulted.



The ninth-grader told investigators she was released a short time later and found by her father on the side of the road.


The white male attacker has not been identified. He was about 30 to 35 years old with a mustache, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 260 pounds, the girl told investigators.


The make and model of the truck were not available.


The sheriff's office's major crimes unit and the Conroe Independent School District police are investigating.


Extra patrols were at the campus on Thursday.


School district officials sent a letter home to parents, urging them to talk with their children about safety.


Students are encouraged to scream loudly and run in the opposite direction if someone suspicious approaches them.


"Run away, scream, holler -- make every effort possible not to get into a vehicle with a stranger," said Lt. Dan Norris with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
