Kids want Myspace or Facebook. Parents want a safe space.

Most online community sites are designed for adults
Sites like Myspace, Facebook and hi5 are designed for adults. The fact that they ask for the sexual orientation of a 13 year old during the sign up process is only one indication that they're not for kids. And because these sites do not verify that people are who they say they are, there is absolutely no accountability. As a result, we've seen a dramatic rise in disturbing social activities like cyber-bullying.
Filtering the internet is tough on parents
Most parents agree that for all of the benefits of the web, our kids get exposed to a lot of negative or inappropriate material without seeking it out. For those that disagree, they're probably not aware of the startling statistics. Many of those who have tried to restrict internet usage in their home have been met with extreme resistance from their kids. When our children say "everybody uses myspace", they just don't know how right they are.
Our kids want a space to call their own
Our kids put up with these indignities because they love having a space that they can share with their friends. They like being able to post pictures, have discussions, and feel plugged-in to their social network.
Surely, there must be a way we can provide all the good stuff to our kids while decreasing their exposure to the negatives?
That's exactly what we do. We have created a safe, enriching environment for your children so they can have an online space without worrying about the predators or bullying.
