Sheriff's office: Trip to Mass. ‘totally unrelated’ to Wal-Mart sighting of HaLeigh


Although recent reports indicate that HaLeigh Cummings was recently spotted at an Abington, Mass. Wal-Mart, Lt. Johnny Greenwood with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday that authorities’ trip to the area was “totally unrelated” to such a sighting.

In fact, law enforcement claims to have traveled to the Cape Cod area to question Misty Cummings’ brother, Timothy Croslin, and his wife, Chelsea. The Gainesville Sun reports that the interviews with Timothy and his wife were based on comments Misty made during recent lie detector and voice analysis tests regarding HaLeigh's disappearance.

Reports indicate Misty failed the tests miserably, however, during the examinations, she made statements that her brother was acting strangely after HaLeigh vanished, which prompted further investigation by authorities.
