Police: Jeffrey Few's Mother Pretended To Be His Father

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- Henry County police continue looking for a 10-year-old boy who was taken from his school Monday afternoon by his mother.

Investigators said Jennifer J. Cook, 31, sent an email to the child's school pretending to be the father. The e-mail asked to make her son, Jeffrey William Few, a car rider.

Cook, who does not have custody of the child, picked Jeffrey up around 2:30PM from Flippen Elementary School in Henry County. Jeffrey is normally in the school's afterschool program.

Jeffrey hasn't been seen since.

“We have an e-mail from the school from a fraudulent account that was the same as my e-mail account, but with one additional letter. With that fraudulent information sent to the administration, it looked like I told them to send the son out, but obviously I didn't. It was deception,” said Shawn Few, Jeffrey’s father.

Henry County school officials did not comment on camera Tuesday about the case, but they did issue this statement: "We are cooperating with authorities to help in this investigation in any way we can. If we find we need to change protocol, we will make that determination after the police investigation."

Shawn Few said the school did nothing wrong.

"I just want to know where my son is and to make sure he's safe," Few said.

Cook has a warrant out for her arrest out of Butts County on an unrelated matter.

Cook is a white female, 5'0, 120lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is possibly driving a 1990 Acura Legend, gray in color, with North Carolina tag "DRHOOTER".

Jeffrey is a white male, 4'0, 70 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Cook may be headed to Charlotte, Ohio, or Michigan, as she has family in each location.

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. - A Henry County boy remains missing after a week.

Jeffre Few was last seen leaving Flippen Elementary School in Henry County.

Police said the boy was taken by his mother -- Jennifer Cook -- after his father was granted custody of him.

Investigators said Cook posed as the boy's father in an email to the school, arranging to pick up the child.

Police said 31-year old Jennifer Cook is not wanted on kidnapping charges since she had not been served the custody papers yet.

She is charged however with a felony after police said she committed prescription drug fraud the same day.

"Anybody that makes a decision to run from the law -- I just don't know what she's capable of doing," said the boy's father, Shawn Few.

Shawn few said he and his ex-wife have been divorced for five-years.

The GBI said an amber alert for the child wasn't issued because many parental abductions don't meet the requirements.

Police are asking for help in finding a 31-year-old Georgia woman and her 10-year-old son.

Jennifer Joanne Cook, of McDonough, Ga., picked up her son, Jeffre William Few from school Oct. 19. The boy’s father recently had been awarded custody, Henry County police detective Marc McGowan, said.

McGowan said Cook has a felony warrant for some unrelated charges, but police do not think the boy is at risk.

“Our investigation has led us to her possibly being in the Galveston area,” he said. “We just want to locate her and bring her back to Georgia.”

McGowen asked residents in Galveston County be on the lookout for Cook and her son. Cook is described as Caucasian, with light brown hair and blue eyes, 5 feet, 2 inches tall and about 140 pounds. Few is described as Caucasian, with blond hair and blue eyes, 4 feet, 6 inches high, and 70 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact local police.

Kidnapped Boy Reunited With Dad

A Henry County boy missing for almost two weeks has been reunited with his father.

Ten year old Jeffre Few was found safe in Galveston, Texas on Friday night. Henry County police are not releasing details about the recovery.

The boy's mother, 31-year old Jennifer Cook, who is responsible for his disappearance, is in police custody.

Police say on Monday, Oct. 19th, Cook pretended to be her ex-husband, Shawn Few. She sent an e-mail to the boy's school on Few's letterhead, asking that Jeffre be let out at regular time to leave with him instead of staying for the afterschool program.

The couple had joint custody of their son Jeffre. That status changed recently after Cook was put in the hospital for treatment of health problems that require a lot of drugs. A judge granted Few temporary full custody of his son.

Few says he warned school officials at Flippen Elementary that Jeffre was only to leave school with him. He was worried his ex-wife might try to take Jeffre.
