http://www.clickorlando.com/news/21271635/detail.htmlORLANDO, Fla. -- In the second part of an interview with CBS's "Early Show," Haleigh Cummings' stepmother said she thinks her own family sold her out and that the missing girl's mother's family was involved in her disappearance.
Misty Cummings appeared on the "Early Show" Monday morning, the same day her estranged husband, Ronald Cummings, was also scheduled to appear, but canceled due to an illness in the family.
Misty Cummings, 17, said she believes her own brother betrayed her and sold her out to police in the search for Haleigh.
Haleigh disappeared in February from her father's Satsuma home. She recently turned 6 years old. Misty Cummings, who was Ronald Cummings' girlfriend at the time, was the last person to see Haleigh.
Misty Cummings also explained a statement she made in last week's interview that she believes the "other side" of Haleigh's family was involved in her disappearance. She said she thinks Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield's, family knows more than they have told authorities.
"I don't think she (Sheffield) personally had anything to do with it, just someone on her side of the family," Misty Cummings said.
Ronald Cummings' lawyer appeared on the show in his stead. He confirmed Misty Cummings' previous statement that the couple's impending divorce does not mean Ronald Cummings suspects his wife in his daughter's disappearance.
"He in no way believes she (Misty) was involved whatsoever," attorney Terry Shoemaker said.
Shoemaker said the divorce is a byproduct of stress brought on by the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance.
