Teen Mom, Daughter Missing From Orlando
ORLANDO -- Police need help finding a teen mother and her 1-year-old child.

Police said Nikki Nash, 16, took Jayla Nash and ran away. Both are under DCF custody. There is currently an active pickup order.

The child has a medical condition that was treated before she was allegedly taken by her mother. However, officials said the condition could become serious if she doesn't get her medication.

Nikki Nash has a history of theft and drugs, and is known to frequent the Orange Blossom Trail area.

OPD finds missing teen mother and her ill baby
The girl, 16, and her 1-year-old daughter had been missing since January.

Orlando police said this afternoon that they had found a child and her teenage mother who had been missing since January.

Police found the two at the Intown Suites Hotel on South Orange Blossom Trail just after 3 p.m. today.

Nikki Nash, 16, took her daughter, Jayla, 1, from the custody of the Department of Children and Families on Jan. 25.

Jayla has been returned to the Department of Children and Families. Nikki Nash has been arrested and taken to a juvenile assessment center.

Officials had been worried about the two because Jayla suffers from a medical condition that can require breathing treatments.
