Police seek boy, 10, missing from South Side

Police are asking the public’s help in locating a 10-year-old boy who went missing from the South Side Saturday morning.

Neil Escedreau -- who goes by the nickname “E.J.” -- was last seen Saturday at 9 a.m. in the first block of West 112th Place, according to a missing persons alert issued by Calumet Area detectives.

Neil is described as a 5-foot-1, 105 pound black male, with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red long sleeve shirt, dark khaki pants and red gym shoes, and frequents Palmer Park located on the 11100 block of South King Drive, according to the alert.

Anyone with information regarding Neil’s whereabouts is asked to contact Calumet Area detectives at (312) 747-8274.

Police said a 10-year-old boy who vanished from the Far South Side Saturday morning has been found safe, according to a release from police News Affairs.

Neil Escedreau -- who goes by the nickname “E.J.” -- was last seen Saturday at 9 a.m. in the first block of West 112th Place, according to a missing persons alert issued by Calumet Area detectives.

The police News Affairs release, sent about 7:15 a.m., said the child had been found safe.

Escedreau was described as a 5-foot-1, 105 pound black male, with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, the alert said.
