Missing Tennessee toddler found in Miami
An Amber Alert for a kidnapped toddler was called off early Monday evening after authorities safely recovered the child in Florida.
Seven-month-old Drake Kingston Boyd was found in Miami a day after being "forcibly taken from his mother during a violent assault," according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
He was abducted Sunday around 4 p.m. in Greene County, Tenn., according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
One of the suspects was identified as David Jackson, 35.
"There were at least three females that participated in the assault and kidnapping of Drake Boyd," the TBI said in an Amber Alert issued late Sunday. "They are unidentified at this time."
Authorities said the suspects took the mother's silver 1999 Dodge Intrepid, and were also driving a white four-door Chrysler Sebring with an unknown Florida tag. The Intrepid was found abandoned Monday morning in Newberry, S.C.
That Sebring's description was posted Monday morning on interstate message boards in metro Atlanta and throughout Georgia.
"Jackson has a lengthy violent criminal history and is probably headed to Georgia or Florida," the TBI said.
