An Algiers girl reported missing over the weekend returned home Monday night, according to New Orleans police.
Maiah Sylvester, 12, returned home a little more than 24 hours after she was reported missing by police. Her mom said she went missing around 6 p.m. on Sunday after she took out the trash in the 4600 block of Berkley Drive.
Police say Sylvester was unharmed. What's still unclear is where she was at during the 24 hours she was reported missing.
